Calculate your dose

293.150 mrem per year

"The radiation would expose
astronauts in orbit to an effective dose 2.5 times greater than that
received by humans in low Earth orbit aboard the international space
station, Zeitlin said. "

Mars ratio

Daily average exposure 15 mrad/day (35 mrem/day)
ISS radiation

So Mars = about 87 mrem per day = per year 31959.375 = 109 times higher radiation dose than here, toasty!

But they're rousting the wrong mob
With they're heads stuck in a sack,
Cause I've got a secret weapon
In my Atomic Cadillac.

Radiator calculations

With the addition of the fixed fourth radiator panel, the heat rejection capability is 29,000 Btu per hour= 201 lbs of ice per hour.

DSBF
1000 tons = 200,000 lbs= 995 hours of shuttle cooling.

"1 ton" of air conditioning from the amount of heat that 2000 lbs of solid water will absorb over a 24 hour period (that is to change from a solid to a liquid). It will absorb 288,000 Btu's in a 24 hour period, 12,000 Btu's in an hour. That is why we call a 12,000 Btu/hr unit a one ton unit. In an average size home (1500 sq ft), the /normal requirement would be about 36,000 Btu/hr.

288000 btu/2000 lbs = 144 btu /lb

They hid the whole thing

"N1-L3 first full production vehicle 8L was scheduled for launch August 1974.Canceled March/June 1974. During 1974 and 1975 the remaining N-1's were scrapped. ...The 8L vehicle was put in secret storage in the N1 MIK.
