The Boing-Boing Orion posts were quite popular and well linked, more that NASA's Project Orion this week.
Linkers and thinkers:
prairieprogressive
"Imagine what mankind could do with such a vehicle. Moon, Mars, Pluto, the stars! Too bad it’s a bit on the messy side."
"the Orion story is a reminder of a day not so long ago when the outer planets were considered as viable an option for manned
flight as the Moon."
"The existence and results of Project Orion are one of the big reasons that I don't give much credit to folks who discount
large-scale space exploration as economically or technologically infeasible."
"It should be reconsidered."
hobbyspace
buyitordie
"Aeronautic tech is cool. Classified aeronautic tech is way cooler."
spacetimecurves
"powering a spacecraft with Nuclear Energy so that man can take a quantum leap in his quest to explore the unknown space."
